Cuttlefish Salad

Ingredients:
  • Fruits DeMer Marinated cuttlefish
  • 50ml of extra virgin olive oil and more for drizzling
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 100g white onions finely sliced
  • Rind of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 50g pimento asado (Grilled red peppers) optional.
  • Fresh salad leaves​
Directions:
  1. Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan and add the cuttlefish, fry for 3 – 4 minutes or until tender and slightly charred.
  2. Remove from heat. Add the finely sliced white onions, the juice and zest of 1 lemon. Toss well with the grilled peppers.
  3. To finish, drizzle a little more extra virgin olive oil and ready to serve.
  4. Add fresh salad leaves to make a substantial salad. 
This can be eaten warm or serve at room temperature. 
For a spicier version, opt to add some freshly cut chillies!
